SoCal digital events zoom parties during the covid pandemic. Due to social distancing, socializing with big groups and in-person was highly discouraged, thus a friend and I decided to create a series of engaging events to our network with delivered mixology boxes with branded glasses, a recipe, and drink mix. The goal was to bring unity and inclusion during the uncertainty and isolation of 2020, with socializing virtually. As two middle eastern women, we decided on the name “spyce” (a play on the word “spice”) came from a mutually favorite song of “Spice Up Your Life” by the Spice Girls, inspiring the colorful and bold branding as well as fiery symbolism. The bright red color connected the word “spice” and inspired the spicy margarita mixer event we hosted for 30+ individuals.
